Breakfast is served
A hearty breakfast is included in the price of the room.
If you are an early riser, you can enjoy your cup of coffee or tea on the patio, and enjoy the sunrise over the fields.
Guests will be served breakfast between 7:00 and 9:00 am in our quaint dining area or on the patio.
The meal will include a seasonal fruit dish, a hot meal with ham, bacon, or sausage, and bread or home made muffins.
Cereals, yogurt and juice are available for a lighter meal.
What is a country breakfast?
Our breakfast is made with fresh ingredients from our garden. We grow our own potatoes for those delicious homefries and potato cakes. We add homegrown onions, peppers, scallions or leeks to enhance the flavor.
Our herb garden provides us with parsely, sage, basil or dill which are used as an added ingredient to many of the egg dishes.
The homemade "mint" ice tea is flavored with a combination of different mints from the garden - applemint, spearmint and peppermint.
As for the fruit dishes - In the early part of the season, we buy the fresh fruit from the local farmers - strawberries, blueberries, rasberries, watermelon and cantaloupe.
Later in the summer, we take daily trips to the orchards of Adams County. There we purchase plums, peaches, pears and apples for the delicious fruit dishes which we serve to our guests.
Now that is what we call "country".
