WELCOME TO RED CARDINAL BED AND BREAKFAST

The Red Cardinal Bed & Breakfast is located near the centers of Carlisle and Boiling Springs. From our B&B, it is an easy drive to Shippensburg, Gettysburg, Lancaster, Hershey and Harrisburg.

We are centrally located to the area's most popular attractions: The Carlisle Collector Car Shows (15 min/7 miles), the Appalachian Trail Center in Boiling Springs (5 min/2.5mi), the fly-fishing along the Yellow Breeches Creek, Dickinson College (15 min/6 miles) and Penn State Dickinson School of Law.
.
THINK SPRING:  CRAFT FESTIVALS, FLOWERS BLOOMING, BIKE RIDES, HIKING, FISHING and SUNSHINE.

Our beautiful home dates back to the early 1800's. The land and the dwelling were part of a larger tract belonging to the Craighead family, who settled the area in 1742.
As you approach our home, you will see a charming house with an inviting front porch. When you step inside, you will be greeted with old-fashioned hospitality. A few additions over the years, give the house its charming personality.
Although the Red Cardinal Bed & Breakfast sits among the farmlands and mountains in South Middleton Township of Cumberland County, it is a short drive from I-81 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

We recently spent a weekend at The Red Cardinal and highly recommend it. This is a lovely, peaceful, comfortable inn that is close to several fly fishing streams, which was one reason for our visit to nearby Boiling Springs. Hosts Joanne and Billy are so friendly and personable, providing helpful information on the area's sights, activities and dining options. Our breakfasts were incredibly delicious with generous portions. We truly felt welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Peaceful, comfortable retreat. Kathy O, Trip Advisor
After nine cold days on the Appalachian Trail, my wife and I were desperate for a home-cooked meal, hot shower, and comfy bed—all of which we got in spades at the Red Cardinal B&B. ...
A Delightful Stay. Drew C, Trip Advisor
Having never tried a bed&breakfast before we were alittle skeptical at first. The minute Bill greeted us it felt like home. Bill and Joan were so friendly and accommodating to make everything perfect. We were in town for the Chrysler's car show. Room was great and the breakfast was delicious both days. Out in the country and very quiet. Wonderful conversation with them. We would rate it as 11 on a 10 star rating .Already scheduled our stay for next year.
